About
My story
Hi, I’m Diane — a lifelong learner with a genuine desire to help people feel and move better. I started my practice here in Quarriers Village, Inverclyde [Scotland] to offer something different from traditional physiotherapy and conventional bodywork. My mission is to help people in Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, Glasgow, and across Scotland move better, reduce pain, and unlock their performance potential.
My values — curiosity, integrity, compassion, fun, and empowerment — guide every session I deliver.
My Journey
I grew up in Aberdeen and was drawn to physiotherapy while still at school. The idea of a career that combined problem solving, human movement, and helping people live healthier lives just felt right.
In 2007, I moved to Glasgow to study at Glasgow Caledonian University, where I qualified as a physiotherapist in 2011 and later completed a Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. My career began with a mix of private work and NHS posts, mainly in musculoskeletal outpatient departments. By 2022, I transitioned fully to self-employment — and I’ve never looked back.
a Love for movement
My fascination with movement began during a Pilates class years ago. A simple cue from the teacher completely changed how an exercise felt in my body — it was a lightbulb moment. That led me to train as a Pilates teacher in 2015 and a yoga teacher in 2017, both of which deepened my understanding of movement, cueing, and awareness.
In 2020, I discovered Gary Ward’s book What The Foot? and trained in Anatomy in Motion™ to become Scotland’s first accredited practitioner. This gave me a holistic, whole-body framework to connect the dots between feet, posture, and movement. More recently, I’ve added Craniosacral Therapy (CST) techniques to my practice, which continue to amaze me with their subtle but transformative effects.
Why Work With Me
People of all ages come to see me from Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, Glasgow, and across Scotland — some travelling from Edinburgh, Fife and Argyll. They’re often looking for something different after other treatments haven’t brought lasting results.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect the dots. By looking at the body as an integrated system, I uncover root causes that are often overlooked. I blend physiotherapy expertise with tools like gait analysis, Anatomy in Motion, Pilates, yoga insights, and craniosacral therapy. My aim is always to empower you with clear explanations and practical steps so that change sticks.
When you work with me, you’re not just receiving therapy — you’re joining a process of discovery, learning, and improvement. Whether you want to recover from injury, ease pain, improve performance, or simply move with more freedom, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
Frequently asked questions
Do you just see people locally?
Not at all. While my practice is based in Quarriers Village, many of my clients travel from all across Scotland. People are often willing to make the journey because they’ve heard about my different approach and want an alternative to conventional physiotherapy or other bodywork. If desired, contact me about online appointments.
What makes your approach different from traditional physiotherapy?
I don’t just treat symptoms in isolation. I look at the body as a whole, combining physiotherapy expertise with 2D gait analysis, Anatomy in Motion, Pilates, yoga, and craniosacral therapy to uncover root causes and create lasting change.
Do you offer hands-on treatment?
Yes. Alongside movement-based approaches, I also provide hands-on treatments such as craniosacral therapy and manual techniques when they’re the right fit for the person I’m working with. Often, I’ll blend hands-on work with movement strategies to create the most effective outcome.
Do you only see people with injuries or pain?
No. I also work with people who want to improve posture, performance, or general movement. My goal is to help anyone move better, whatever their starting point.
Is your practice suitable for all ages?
Mostly, yes. I work with teenagers, older adults, and everyone in between. Each session is tailored to the individual. I do not treat babies or young children.
Where are you based?
I’m based in Quarriers Village, Inverclyde, Scotland — a peaceful and accessible location close to Renfrewshire and roughly a 30 minute drive from Glasgow.
